The Sony Xperia L is a mid-range handset with a 4.3 inch screen and a WVGA resolution combining to produce a 228ppi pixel density. A dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8230 processor is under the hood, with an Adreno 305 GPU aboard. With 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage inside, this is certainly not a top-shelf smartphone. But where Sony put all of its effort on this model is with the rear-facing camera. The snapper on back is 8MP with an Exmor RS sensor that has an HDR mode just like the flagship Sony Xperia Z. The camera captures video at 720p. The front facing camera weighs in at .3MP.
Without LTE, we won't see this model adorn the shelves of the top U.S. carriers, but we could see Sony try to grab some business from smaller carriers and from its own sales efforts.
